Best Banana Pudding

The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.  For my man, one of his all time favorite treats is Banana Pudding.  My daughter, PRINCESS, invited us over for Easter dinner and made this delicious Banana Pudding for dessert.

It is different than any Banana Pudding I have ever tasted or made myself.  She found this recipe on allrecipes.com.  It is very easy to prepare, yummy, instant  pudding with one unusual ingredient: sour cream!

I know, I know:  sour cream?  Don't knock it till you've tried it, trust me.

Banana Pudding

8 oz. tub sour cream

8 oz. tub Cool Whip, thawed

5 oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding

2 cups milk

1 tsp. vanilla

16 oz. pkg. vanilla wafers

4 bananas, peeled and sliced

Combine sour cream, Cool Whip, vanilla pudding, vanilla and milk in a large bowl and stir generously. In the bottom of a trifle bowl or other glass serving dish, put a layer of cookies, then a layer of pudding mixture, then a layer of bananas. Repeat.  Refrigerate.  Garnish with Cool Whip topped with fresh banana slices, vanilla wafers, and vanilla wafer crumbs just before serving.  Enjoy!

Prep Time 10 minutes

Ready in 10 minutes

  7. I love banana pudding! I have a recipe that I love, but it's fairly time consuming. I've pinned this because it will be a great go-to recipe when I don't have time to prepare the longer version. Thanks for sharing!
